The mission of the Florida Alliance of Maritime Organizations, Inc. (FAMO) is to promote all measures necessary to enhance the maritime industry’s presence in the State of Florida.

Established as a non-profit organization in 2009, FAMO seeks to actively participate in Florida’s regulatory and policy development processes that impact Florida’s considerable maritime industry.

The maritime industry is a significant economic contributor in Florida at both the state and local levels. As a result of its many statewide economic partnerships, the cargo and cruise industries generate employment for more than 350,000 Floridians and contribute over $72 billion in annual economic impact to the State.
